Addressing Social and Environmental Justice Through the Arts

Where Art Decorates Space and Music Decorates Time

Founded by oboist Matt Sullivan in the Spring of 2022, 2B&2C: The Ken Cro-Ken Memorial Foundation cultivates and nurtures a thriving creative community engaged in interdisciplinary collaboration, experimental learning, and environmental activism through visual arts, music, and dance. Dedicated to the life and legacy of ecosystem-painter, sculptor, and teacher, Ken Cro-Ken (1957-2020), 2B&2C has the dual mission of preserving, promoting, and disseminating the Ken Cro-Ken Collection, and further literacy through the arts.

"A Matter of Time"

The Life and Times in Art and Music of Ken Cro-Ken and Matt Sullivan

Friday, September 6 - Saturday, September 28, 2024.

A Matter of Time’s closing party is on September 28, 2024 at 7 PM. At 8 PM, the event will feature a performance of The Process of Illumination – a group of musicians who have performed at 2B&2C from March of 2022 to the present.

The group will perform established repertoire for selected instruments followed by improvisations based on those works – hence, The Process of Illumination – getting off of the written page and into the Spirit of the Muse via free improvisation.

“My pursuit is constant: to remain connected to nature with a sense of play and all that results from it. I manipulate space, time, and matter, though the matter is never just paint. Speed Elements reveal universal motion and an idea of why the multiverse appears as it does.”
